Hello Bepke I'm afraid to say that it isn't (not yet anyhow). A 1200 can currentlyNOT be used as a Profinet I/O controller (which is what you would need)NOR can it act as a Profinet I/O device adn what is supported by the onboard "Profinet" port of a S7 1200 can be found HERE. These features are planned for the (hopefully not to distant) future though (as well as add on Profibus DP Master and Slave Communication modules), so one day you shall be able to do what you are planning to do. Yes, I meant that S7-300 you use in Profibus network to acquire data from some devices. then you add CP343-1 to this PLC and collect all profibus data in one data block and send this data block to S7-1200. How to accomplish this task you can find here http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/40556214 I really don't know when S7-1200 will have profibus module available. |
