Hello chimpu; One solution we looked at for a project was the Prolinx Profibus Wireless Gateways, from Prosoft Technologies. They are described here: http://www.prosoft-technology.com/content/view/full/8664 More information is available on the links on the right of the page. Of course you will have to take line-of-site distances and antennas into consideration, as well as allowaed frquencies in your part of the world. Prosoft has an excellent support record, and they could help you configure the application. I have modified your initial diagram to show how you could use it with the Prolinx Gateways. Hello, I also would prefer optical cable. There are the PROFIBUS OLM with electrical interface (RS485) and optical interface (BFOC). For exampleyou can use this components to overcome the distance between S7 station and ET 200M with optical cable. AttachmentMN_OLMV4_0.zip (104 Downloads) |
