Profinet Card

LalitN Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have the SIEMENS PLC module 'IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU ' (6ES7 151-8AB00-0AB0) and one CIFX 50-RE profinet card in the PC. I want to setup the communication between these two which works in the manner like the PLC Module as 'Slave' and profinet card as 'Master' for which we required the GSDML file of the corresponding PLC module for configuring the profinet card by its own tool SYCON.net. Please help that is it possible to make this module as 'Slave’, if it is possible then where will i get the correct GSDML file for that. Please help Regards, LalitN

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	You should configure ET200s and then make file from this configuration - there is an option in Step7 for that (HW Knofig->Options->Create GSD file for I device).

(slave) Only as Profinet IO Controller (master). See this link: 6ES7 151-8AB00-0AB0 When you have 6ES7 151-8AB01-0AB0 it can be used as Profinet IO Device. Best regards, Wizard

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	Dear LalitN, if you can configure your PC card as IO device (PN slave) then you can configure ET200S as IO controller (PN master) - and i don't see any problems. The problems will arise if you increase nodes number
