Profinet Communication with G120X Free Telegram 12712

oluwasedago Experienced Member Joined: 3/30/2015 Last visit: 10/17/2023 Posts: 70 Rating: (1)	Hello team, I am using TIA V16 and would like to configure / communicate / control a Siemens G120X drive. I want to use the the free Telegram 12/12 bytes. This drive telegram is not configurable using Starter nor TIA itself. I found an example online from Siemens, but this was done in V17 and also the software is locked for make any sense out of it so I can use it as a reference to develop mine. Siemens link I have set up the HW and currently have no error on the drive's connection to the PLC. I am using the PLC S7 1515-2 PN Plc. 1- Does any one have any software developed for this free telegram 12/12 bytes which I can use as reference to make mine. 2- Is there any way to downgrade the software to V16 AND unlock the block? 3- Are there any documents that can tell me the internal structure of the ZSW and STW? So I am looking for solution on how to configure this telegram for the drive or just use the Siemens block but in TIA V16. oluwasedago Experienced Member Joined: 3/30/2015 Last visit: 10/17/2023 Posts: 70 Rating: (1)	I finally got this to work using the free telegram 12/12 word on TIA V16. I have to split the telegram into WORDs to establish communication and the rest was pretty much easy as I would do a normal G120 drive. It is important to note that the G120 Web Serve Link module was important in getting the drive configured. Attachment G120x profidata.png (136 Downloads)
