Profinet connection with PC Ethernet

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello mijanmijan, what do you want to do? Load the programm into the PLC? Or do you want to communicate with the ET200S over PROFINET (Realtime Communication)? PROFINET is based on Ethernet, so its no problem to connect the PC directly with the ET200S PN interface for loading or diagnostics (TCP/IP communication). Greets, Pittiplatsch

Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/21/2025 Posts: 676 Rating: (44)	yes this is possible. you just have to setup the pc station with the opc server and then add in netpro a connection between the et 200s cpu and the opc server (e.g. s7-connection). the following manuals are useful for opc: 1. and 2.
