tanimsiz Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have EB200 starter kit andCP1616 v2.3.1 installed. I've connected CP1616 and EB200 as described in manual. I have tested PROFINET IO RT_CLASS 2 on both windows and linux works fine. I can capture RT_CLASS 2 datas on both windows and linux. But for RT_CLASS 3 (IRT) i have compiled kernel with RTAI 3.6.1 on kernel 2.6.24 then installed CP1616's Linux driver fits on my v2.3.1 firmware. When i try to run example application (cp1616_example_appl.cpp) for IRT i get error as message Error in Initialize PNIO_register_cbf (PNIO_CBE_OPFAULT_IND,..) returned 0x30a is there any solution for this? Output for PROFINET IO IRT rtai@rtai:~/CP1616/Linux$ sudo ./cp1616_example_appl -i TraceLib: trace is on, and goes into serv_trace.txt! configuration file is /etc/servtrace.conf destination 0x1, group 0x7f, depth 0x1 TraceLib: trace is on, and goes into pnio_trace.txt! configuration file is /etc/pniotrace.conf destination 0x1, group 0x7f, depth 0x1 This sample application reads a input value of 64 bytes and display it on the screen in hexadecimal format each time any byte has changed. It also copies 64 byte input to 64 byte output values. Press 's' to start sample application Press 'q' to stop sample application Error in Initialize PNIO_register_cbf (PNIO_CBE_OPFAULT_IND,..) returned 0x30a Here is finger print: Linux rtai 2.6.24-rtai-3.6.1 #1 SMP Thu Apr 12 10:11:40 EEST 2012 i686 GNU/Linux

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi, although I've already used CP1616 for some small applications I'm not really familiar with your topic Maybe it's helpful to use current version of DK16xx for CP1616(should be V2.5.2). You can order it for free: DK16xx V2.5.2 Or you get in touch with Siemens support. For DK ERTEC 200 it should be comdec@siemens.com, for DK16xx presalessupport.simatic-net@siemens.com. If you are not sure which module causes the trouble just contact both

Jan Hnila Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I hope, you have already solved your problem, but just for a future reference: Your error returned value: 0x30a It's meaning can be found in:pniolib/iobase/inc/pnioerrx.h file: #define PNIO_ERR_INVALID_CONFIG 0x0000030A /* invalid configuration, check your configuration */ So, in order to test IRT communication, you should use an IRT configuration (not RT configuration). E.g. instead of the NCM configuration:EB200_NCM_PC_RT.zip you should rather useEB200_NCM_PC_IRT_C2.zip or C3 . Hope this helps.
