How to communicate or exchange data between S7314C 2PN-DP PLC as slave & third party PLC (B&R make) as a master on profinet?

Is it possible? Where should i get profinet gsd for S7314C PLC? Or i need to install PN-PN coupler?

Hi,

Siemens PLC that you have does not have a possibility of acting like Profinet slave... (only as Profibus slave, in that case you can download .gsd from here: slave)

You might want to consider change their roles... so cpu siemens as a master and b&r as a slave... in that case you need to have b&r profinet slave communication module: X20 slave, from this page you can download its .gsd file... 

No pn-pn coupler required at all...

B&R PLC having Profinet master gateway & there are other devices also which are slave to B&R system. Our PLC is one of them.

B & R PLC is master on that network. If our plc can't configure as a profinet slave, in that case shall we use PN-PN couler?

in theory yes... the problem is that I'm sure of that only for siemens to siemens communication... with third party hw I really do not know which pn/pn to suggest... Anyway yes, you will have to use some sort of pn/pn coupler, and make them have two different subnets...
