Hello ujwalsadare "normal" switches will work, but they may adversely affect the performance of your Profinet I/O network unless they support"Quality of Service (QoS)" as well as "cut through" features (the latter is more important if you daisy chain switches). I suggest you go to http://www.profibus.com/nc/downloads/and grab the various free of charge available Profinet Design, commissioning, cabling and assemblyguidelines which are well worth a read for anyone involved with this matter (a network load calculator is also available for free).
