PROFINET Network with ET200S PN

AutoGen_563137 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have 14 ET200S PN with part number "6ES7151-3AA23-0AB0", these ET200S will be connected via PROFINET Network with S7-416 PLC. My questions are as follows: 1- How many nodes I can have on the PROFINET BUS as for example in PROFIBUS you can have up to 126 nodes? 2- What is the maximum bus segment lenght for the PROFINET Network if I will use CAT5 copper cables, in the PROFIBUS you can have several bus lenght depend on the baud rate and you can add repeaters is it the same case in the PROFINET or not?. I am asking this question because the lenght between the PLC and the last ET200S PN is about 300 meters long and I want to know how I can do this using PROFINET Network. If you have any manuals that illustrate clearly the PROFINET Network please tell me about it

AutoGen_563137 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your reply, I checked the link and what I understand that you need to install a switch every 100 meters in order to amplifiy the signal as the switch will have the same function of the repeaters in PROFIBUS DP network
