Hi All,

 Just searched in Internet , but couldn't find any reliable conclusion. Which is the best for communication? PROFINET or Modbus? Whether PROFINET has any advantages over Modbus or it's the same but using different protocols. I had integrated a Grundfos Pump with Modbus TCP first and now changed the Module setting to support PROFINET. Just wondering whether it makes any difference?

 That is worth a read. Thanks Ste39. So in my view PROFINET seems better, with the GSDML files It is pretty easy to know what is what when compared to Modbus Registers where you need more documents to pick the right register. And PROFINET seems simple in implementation when compared to Modbus.
