Hi, 

I am having some troubles understanding how to implement the communication via PROFINET with third-party hw slave module. In particular I am talking about B&R slave X20IF10E3-1 slave... Until now I have imported a GSD file of X20 module inside TIA Portal correctly. Then I put it in "network view" and I connected it with already existent siemens CPU 317-2 pn/dp as you can see in photo 1. 

The problem is that I do not have any idea how to proceed in order to establish the communication... On B&R side, absolutely no sfc or sfb are required for the communications... Only thing that is needed is setting up I/O mapping, and the X20 module does all the rest... So what I do not know is:

1. Is there anything similar in TIA Portal (I really do hope that it does)

2. What should I do in order to make my connection work properly.

3. How to perform IO mapping in TIA portal...

I am using basically the same setup for Siemens S7-1212 and B&R X20IF10E3.
How did you solve this setting of the IP address in the B&R card?
It says that it should be set by the controller of the network, Siemens?
But I can not find out how...
