I want to upload a programm from cpu ET200S IM 151-8 to my laptop with ethernet cable How to make the settings for the interface PG/PC ? In step 7, i go to plc : "display accesible nodes" then "upload station to pg" ? The CPU must be in stop mode or not to do this ? I'm using step 7 V5.4 +sp5 Windows WP SP3 Best regards

jklm Platinum Member Joined: 12/22/2006 Last visit: 1/25/2022 Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, I would proceed like this: - set the PG interface to TCP/IP - with PLC ==> edit ethernet node ==> browse, try to detect what IP address the CPU is using - set the IP address of the PG in the same area as the CPU on a free address - upload the CPU

I can be an exiting one (then you add this PLC to the exiting ones) or a new project. It's your choice. As I told before, be sure you have set the IP address of your PGin the same IP range as the PLC to upload.

In this entry http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/44267128you will detect that: - If the module is to be configured with its new order no., you require STEP7 version V5.5. Configuration of the new CPUs with older STEP 7 versions than V5.5 is not possible. This is whatyour upload is trying to do, adding the CPU in the project with the latest order number. You could work with that CPU and your old STEP7, but with the restrictions mentionned in the entry above. It will work like a spare part of an older model, new functions cannot be used, ...

Finally with installation of V5.5 ,i was able to upload the project from the cpu with the command "upload station to pg". i have no symbolic designations,no comments...,some blocks are protected with know_how protection. My question :with the command "Retrieve from Memory Card" can i watch symbolic designations, comments or not . best regards
