Split from Program_alarm - problem with deleting old messages.

If your program less than 3 Mb please attached it I would like to see your caase online 

 Just create a new project

-create FB called "error"

-insert Program_Alarm into it, insert some text into it, make local input "trigger" and connect to sig

-put normaly open contact with global memory bit "start" into main, and place your FB "error" after it

-create and connect "error trigger" tag into your FB

Then download and go online

-set bit "start" to true

-set bit "error trigger" to true  (this will show the error message on your HMI)

-reset bit "start" to false

Now, how do you acknowledge the pending alarm?

hint:Ack_Alarms doesn't work and it doesn't matter if the alarm is "Achnowledgement" or "No Acknowledgement"

do you mean that accure in the alarm view in the HMI? if yes i am not 100% sure but there is a system function (in HMI) called ClearAlarmBuffer you can use it to clear them. Plz give us feedback if it works.

 Hi, this function is in WinCC and it doesn't work. You can not acknowledge this error via HMI. Even if you clear HMIs log, the alarm will be turned on on PLC and it will retriger it imidiatelly. We have to somehow acknowledge it without HMI. In this case, HMIs on network are just outputs of the message.

I've tried clearing alarm buffer, enabling acknowledge button in alarm view, selecting the error and it didn't work either. I assume it has nothing to do with HMI.

You already stated what to do, kind of.  Have you considered leaving the EN on until the reason for the alarm has cleared - for those which do not have an "ack"?

Hi guys, I need your help. Is there any way to acknowledge inactive alarm created by "Program_Alarm" block? I know there is "Ack_Alarms", but if you trigger alarm class "Acknowledgement" alarm and then disable EN, "Ack_Alarms" won't acknowledge this alarm.(My RT advanced is connected to 4 PLCs via device proxy, so there are no controler alarms in my RT. And it can not be acknowledged by HMI). I need to reset it in PLC somehow but I have no idea how. Even "No Acknowledgement" alarms stay active while they are triggered and you disable their EN before turning off the trigger.

 Yeah I know that but due to circumstances it is not possible for me to leave an EN on... That´s why I want to know, if there is a way to do that. I mean I can, but the block I created kinda miss the point when you can´t place it anywhere. I want to turn on the block under certain circumstances, but then I can´t guarantee that they will persist until error message is acknowledged. 

I donňt even understand why this Program_alarm is made that way. I you can always change the "mode" of "Ack_Alarms" to 0 if you dont want people to ack errors...  I´m going to try to reset it via its DB, hope it will work. If not, I´m completely lost.

2 consecutive calls of an instance of a Program_alarm with sig = 1 and sig = 0 should do the trick, I think.

Why is it so? Because it is a descendant of AlarmS from previous S7 generations.

 Thanks :), I like it and I understand how does it work, Moderators merged the topics, cause there was this one and mine about it. I was just asking "If there is the other way to acknowledge alarm that is not enabled " ... now its called Program_alarm - problem as old post from 2017. They deleted the original question with all old posts until mine from 2 days ago... I found the way how to solve this for by FB. So I wasn't complaining about some problems or something like that, I just wanted to know, if someone came upon it and solved it this way. 

And imagine this. While I was developing my FB, I tested few errors. I found out that I made a mistake and I deleted the original block where SIG was 1. Now I have error message on my HMI and i can't delete it. I have to turn my PLC off and on. So my question was in this regard too. How do you get rid of such an error described above? Without turning PLC off and on? It have to be written somewhere, where it holds the error message on even when the block isn't enabled. And if there is a way to access it and turn it of, that's what I'm looking for. If there isn't such a thing, this topic will remain unsolved, like one from 2017.

TBH I'm not trying to figure out how those alarms work or how to make my block work.

My question is simple. Is there any way to delete/acknowledge/get rid of an alarm, that is triggered by block Program_alarm while its EN is 0 ?

the old topic isn't deleted. I just split your post from the old topic, because you said that you have the same problem and mostly when a user is writing "I have the same problem" it isn't the same. That's why I decided to split it.
