Daniel: Thanks for your reply, 22-comm-p profibus adapter has 8 or 16 bit parameters. My hardware configuration has parameter access 8 bytes I/O. I haven't contacted Rockwell yet because I am not using their plc and they easily push back because of it. Iamnew to Step 7 and thought I might start here first. I also attached 22-comm-p profibus adapter chapter section for Parameter Access and a screen shot of my hardware configuration. I greatly appreciate your help. Hello nick; ISorry it took a while tocome back on the thread, but I could not remember where to locate the following link: http://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/rockwellautomation.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=41895&p_created=1187620657 This is a Rockwell Application note on how to use Profibus communications between a S7-315-2DP and a 22-Comm-P drive interface. It should give you more information than I could on the subject. You can download a pdf describing the application and a Step 7 project as an example. Use it to design your own program. However, to set parameters on the drive you will still need to use either a Powerflex keypad or something like DriveMonitor software; that was the point of myearlier questions. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
