We also doing small project with RTU Stations. Distance between CPUs 1200 - 2 km. Stations connect with radio modem.

you have experience in setting up connections between cpu's . Did you succeed in connecting your stations correctly?

Dear All,

I am doing a small project with RTU Stations. The following are the specifications:

1. RTU Station: Each RTU consists of S7-1200 PLC and connected to field devices. Each station is connected with Radio Modem..

2. Main Station: It consists of S7-300 PLC with CP343 Card and Scada System with Radio Modem

I would like to know, can this communication possible with TCIP Port of S7-1200 PLC or do we need the RS485 Card for it.

Can we configure S7-300 PLC as master and all other S7-1200 as slave in case of RS 485.

OR

Can we configure S7-1200 PLC with TCP/IP and connect with the S7-300 Network.

Where can we get the communication details for this kind of stuff.

Any support will be really appreciated..
