ProSave can't connect to the HMI

Hi everybody,

I checked on the internet and siemens forum, and I found the PDF documentation by Prof. Frink, but I still have my issue.

I'm trying to load the "printer driver PDF v1.4" on a TP1200 comfort HMI via ProSave v14.0.1.0.

The problem is ProSave can't connect to the HMI.

If I ping the panel IP address it's ok, but I tried every combination of PN/IE or Ethernet connection, or other kinds of HMI, but the connection never worked.

Can anyone help me? Thanx

in other case, hope I'm not wrong to understand your situation, with ProSave you can upload full cfg (with selectable options) - making image for future restoration to new, same HMI as has been created. You can't download to HMI in this case nothing other than image. If you want save something to panel and then install inside it (SW), use USB flash memory and make this via USB port on panel. In case of not understanding, pls give other infos.

Change the connection parameter.
Try with "PN / IE" instead of "Ethernet".

Positive ping to HMI address

Hello. If you call prosave from TIA it works! 

I wasted way too much time on this. Thank you for your response. Nothing in the ProSave help contents include mention of use with TIA Portal. Never got it to work as the standalone app, only worked when OFFLINE through TIA Portal. If you do it while online, it silently fails and tells you nothing.
