Protecting a SIMATIC DP REPEAT from signal loss

Dear friends, I am using SIMATIC DP REPEATER 12MBAUD IP20 6ES7972-0AA01-0XA0. In this repeater have 2 channels DP1 and DP2. In both channel has two DP cables. If DP2's one DP cable will ground or short cricuted then repeater gives error and not both cable input not coming in PLC. I want to know how to protect signal loos if one cable will ground or short . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
