PT100 Transmitter (TH100), failing to calibrate device Hey, I'm working on calibrating a PT100 Transmitter (TH100). I'm having some issues with downloading the parameter values from the PC and to the transmitter. The calibration of this transmitter is done with a PC software called "Siprom T". The transmitter is powered through the usb modem that plugs into the PC. (See attached wiring diagram) Now that the transmitter is powered, I opened the paramaterization software "Siprom T". It's clear to me that the program already communicates with the transmitter because the program lets me read the resistance values from the PT100 element. Now that the PC communicates with the device I can do the calibration. Here's where the problem occoured: - I changed the range to -40 - 60°C, then tried to download the change to the device. After 30 seconds or so a message appeared "Writing parameterization failed". - Then I tried to change the range from -40 - 200°C, then I downloaded the parameters to the device. A message appeared "Writing parameterization finished". The transmitter should be able to accept both of these measuring ranges. If the transmitter can't accept a measuring range, an error would occour that stops me from clicking download. Now I've been trying for a while to download different data to the transmitter, for example tag number, but the program rarely do a successfull download to the device. I've looked through the manuals several times but I never saw this problem mentioned anywhere. MANUAL " Modem and SIPROM T for SITRANS TH100/TH200/TR200 ..." MANUAL "Sitrans TH100 Temp Transmitter" Thanks for any insight! :) |
