Dear Experts, I requires 8 PWM outputs. If I am not wrong, s7-200 PLC series have only 2 PWM outputs with CPU. Please suggest me any PWM expansion module for s7-200/300 PLC series. Thanks & Regards, BMohsin |

Hello, The only module that might possibly be useful to you is the EM 253 Position Module. I believe it only does Pulse Train Outputs (50% duty cycle with variable frequency) so it probably won't be useful to you. I would suggest buying 3 more S7-200 CPUs. You could also invest in S7-1200 CPUs which are capable of 4 High-Speed outputs. S7-1500 might be able to do more but that is out of my range of knowledge. |

To my knowledge there are no expansion modules for the S7-300. I am not an expert on S7-300 CPU's so I am basing this assumption off an examination of the document link S7-300 Module data. I would suggest giving Siemens or a distributer a call. They would have better knowledge of the products that are capable of multiple PWM outputs. I am sure they would be more than happy to sell you some additional equipment. |

If that was my project, I would use x2 current generation S7-1200 PLCs, From the question it is not clear if the pulse width or frequency should vary. If system requirement is real time co-ordinated motion, w |
