Hello Artwip; The attached illustration shows an example of 3 remote racks (with aIM 361) connected to the main rack, where the CPU is installed, along with a IM 360. As Wizard points out, you can add any type of SM after the IMs, along with most CPs and FMs. For more details on the technicasl data of the IMs 360/361 and of the IM 365 (only for one remote racks, no CP or FM in the remote rack), have a look at the chapter on Interface Module in the following manual: SIMATIC S7-300 Product information for the S7-300 Automation System Manual, Module Data You can easily create your own configuration testfor your S7-300 in the hWConfig editor, using expansion racks and placing the required IMs in slot 3. HWConfig will tell you if any module is placed in a non-acceptableslot, or cannot be configured based on the selected hardware. It's the best way to start learning. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
