QBAD set at 1

Yoga Shankar Posts: 288 Rating: (22)	Dear Salah, If you are working with PLCSIM, delete all the @<chartname> charts from yiur multiproject and put all your AI channels into simulation mode. THis will syop the QBAD output if all the other connections are OK. If you are working with actual hardware, check if all the connections and hardware configuration settings are properly configured.

salah21250 Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hi Yoga Shankar, i work with actual configuration, and there are two Fail-Saif AI channle with QBAD=1 in CFC block, and all my configuration is OK, for this channel there is not display of the value of this two channel in OS station. best regards

cabreytj Silver Member Joined: 5/18/2006 Last visit: 10/21/2020 Posts: 170 Rating: (64)	For the F-AI channel drivers with a QBAD = 1, is the ACK_REQ output for these set to '1'? If so, the channel had failed previously but is now heathly but requires action to put channel driver back in-service. This is done via the ACK_REI input by settiing to '1' and then back to '0'. This will re-intergrate the F-AI back into service. You can set the ACK_NEC input to '0' to not require this reintegartion for must faults. However, even with ACK_NEC set to '0' some faults must be reintegrated via the ACK_REI input. If the ACK_REQ is '0', there still is a problem with your hardware. If you changed the hardware config for this AI module and did a hardware download you MUST recompile your program with Generate Module Drivers option selected. For F-System, the hardware calculated CRC gets loaded into the module driver during the generate module driver part of the compile. Additionally, the new CRC number does not get loaded into the module with a hardware changes in Run delta download. The CRC only gets loaded with either a full hardware download (CPU in stop) or cycling power (or pulling and reinserting the module) after a hardware changes in run delta download. In runtime the CRC in the module is compared with the CRC loaded from hardware config in the module driver. If these CRC's don't match, the module/channels will be faulted with QBAD =1 and cannot be reintegrated. Hope this helps. cabreytj
