In WinCC Unified, logging is designed as event-triggered logging. A value change is the most common event and cyclic logging was not intended when logging was designed. Therefore, cyclic logging has some limitations and it is not recommended to use it.

However, it should work. But to find the cause of your observations, more information about your system and your project would be needed. If you do not want to publish your project here, it is better to have it reviewed by technical support.

Hi Julham,

I assume the recommendation not to use cyclic tag logging is to save memory and avoid unnecessary data. In your case, you can try to configure compression or smoothing instead. But with the same cycle times for them, the resulting memory consumption will be the same.
