I have a question about IP Address in TP 1500 X3 Port.

Let me explain to you what do I want, In our factory we want to execute Manufacturing execution systems(MES) project.

in this project we have a problem about IP conflict of our machines (their IPs are same), so to provide this problem we should change the range of IPs. in some our machines we have HMI (TP 1500 comfort with two ports. X1 and X3). I want to know can I use X3 to connecting to PLC like CP?

I want to know, this model of panel (6av2 124-0qc02-0ax0)  can be used like the CP?

As you Know The CP can be used to assign the IP Address for the new connection.

 Used like a CP? Can you be more precise? The X3 connection has limited functionality available, X3 can't use S7 communication (can't communicate via PLC).

For the MES project,I should change the range of IP address of PLC (from 192.168.1.2 to  172.27.118.2), I thought I can use this port, and then assign with new range of IP. (I want to connect PLC with IP except 192.168.1.2).  

AS you know we can assign the new IP address for the CP (like CP 343), and we can connect PLC with IP of CP. Now I want to use this port like CP .

you told , we can not connect to PLC via X3, So this port should be for the external device (like another HMI), yes?

 The HMI is not a CP, so the thing you want to do, can't be done.

X3 is for other HMI (Smartclient connection) or SQL database connections.

 The HMI is not a CP, so the thing you want to do, can't be done.
