questions about encoder which mark of siemens ( 6FX2001 5FS24 )

i have some questions about encoder whic markof siemens ( 6FX2001 5FS24 )
i bought it but accordingto encoder what was using some codes are different . for instanceinterface code is different between old and new encoders .

old version's interface no :SSI 41

new version's interface no: SSI 37

and that's why i have some suspect if i try it on the machine . does it work?
andis thatinterface difference make a problem?
