questions about F_Trig_DB and "local in" variable

nicolast Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello In TIA portal 12 I'm usingF_Trig_DB functions to reset my input signal when the output gets shut down by another factor. (if "output" gets from 1 to 0 then "buffer variable" is set to 1 (F_Trig_DB). If "buffer variable" equals 1 then set "input" to 0) It seems to work fine but I have a few hiccups with the function : I'm using several F_Trig_DB but the blocks are protected so I can't access input/output/etc can I unlock it ? I neither can erase the functions in the "program resources" folder on the left, which bothers me because I have declared one that I'm not actually using The "buffer variables" that I use are "local in" and "bool" but I have accidently declared one "local in" "int" and I can't find the variable table or else to modify this kind of variable (or erase it) like it is possible for API variables And this bothers me a lot because with this loose int my program won't compile... Thanks for your answers

You can see the the general project view with the F_trig_DB functions and the main programming block. I could not get the same result. The FB and DB blocks could be deleted regardless if it is in use or not. For me it is a bit of uncharted waters. If this happened to me, I would copy the coding over to a clean project and see if this type of behaviour continues. Whatever follows now is guess work. It is as if you logged into a Windows account that does not have rights to make changes to the program.. maybe. Try to right click onto the block (FB1002 / DBx) and ask from the pull down to delete the blocks. There has been some cases mentioned in the forum about language selection of software that gives some issues (I doubt it is this). What is the default langauge in your Windows environment?.. is it the same as the language displayed in TIA? As per changes needed in the FC.. go to the declaration of the variables inside the FC where you can see all the variables (parameters). Try to modify the parameter that needs changing. ------------ Unrelated to your issue.. please see if you have the following functions in TIA12: ---(P) ---(N) These do the same type of function as the FB1002 that you included. ------------- That is all that I have to contribute.. sorry. w

Quick question about the "copy/paste the code" solution, the thing is I don't want to reprogram all the coding for the HMI, is there a way to copy/paste or export this to a new project ? and yes windows and TIA are both in french for me.

I doubt I am of too much help.. thanks for the feedback however. I have used 2 sessions of TIA to do the copy/paste actions when I had TIA11. Even whole code blocks can be copied. There are other options that has been mentioned before in our community. TIA13 has some more options too.. but you should be okay. Cheers. w
