Questions with IM 463-2 configuration

sko4in Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear all, In order to configure the IM 463-2 module, I have inserted it into hardware configuration. Then doubleclicked on the module I got configuration dialog. This dialog allows me to specify relations between S7 and S5 addressing space. I have added entries as you could see in attached file. Please see attached jpg. The question is: since I configured 4 entries with overall address space coverage up to 512 bytes (384+128) why do I still get the address space for this module from 0..127? This is merely a display "issue" in HWconfig which only disaplys "Entry 1" from the IM463-2 configuration, the IM will however work as configured. Have a look at the address overview (to be found in the "View"drop menu) and it will display correctly the whole configured address ranges of the IM463-2. I hope this helps P.S: Are you sure your S5 I/O's do "occupy"all the coonfigured IM463-2 addresses, or is this just a test configuration?

The problem with address repsresentation only, because if you try to insert any other input module, Step automatically generates address space for the new one according to the upper limit specified in IM463-2 configuration.
