Hello Oscar_83PL InTouch comes with a free S7 I/O Server (called: SIDirect DA Server, aka DASSIDirect) which is embedded into the ArchestraA System Management Console after installation (you probablyknow/have done this this already so this info is just in case you haven't). Once DASSIDirect is configured and the corresponding access name entries made in InTouch (which is quite simple, there is also a technote available from Wonderware, speak to your local Distributor if you don't have it), you have access to all data from the S7 (i.e. no need for Siemens Softnet or anything else). The tag configuration of which DB (or M, I, Q etc.) values you want to read does now take place from InTouch. You should have theS7 I/O Servers User's guide pdf on your InTouch CD (if notget them from your local Wonderware Distributor) which explains the formatting of the address entries in InTouch (e.g."DB100.DBX0.0" in S7 is declared as "DB100,X0.0). There is (or at least used to be, it's been a while since my last WW project) an S7 DB importtool available for InTouch. This allowed you to import one or morewhole DB's and would create the tags in InTouch for you (which saves a fair amount of typing). Again, I suggest you get in touch with your local WWdistributor and or check the WW manuals for more on this. I hope this helps (as it is all that I remember from the good old InTouch days) |
