"Remove(path)" C function on the Global Script.

Rocky Balboa Posts: 36 Rating: (3)	Hi! I have a doubt about C editing on the global script. I made a function that create logs files (TXT) every day, and i would like to delete these files when they become 30 days old. My problem is that i tryed to use the C library function "remove(path)" to delete the file and don't seems to work (I normaly used this function to delete files on Dos C++ programs). To solve this problem i made a dos program in C++ and call it on the global script to be executed. Is there a way to delete files using a C function on global script without having to do a ProgramExecute. Thaks for the atention. [8)]

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi Rocky, have you already tried to call a WINDOWS API (by calling the corresponding DLL/header-files in your script)? You could try using "pragma code"-functionality as well: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/14373387 As far as I know, this should work.... regards, Nemo

Global Actions and all Graphics Designer scripts automatically link to the standard headers (APDEFAP.H). However Project Functions don't do this automatically and you have to do it manually. It might have been that yesterday you were using a project function whereas now you have tested it with a button script ... Just my two-pence worth. Salma
