We are facing some strange issue with S7-300R system.

314-2dp is used @ site with fw 3.3

Redundancy link between CPU is mpi.

Swr version is v12

There are 2 DP nodes in the system.

Functionality is tested and found OK except below point.

1.     R SYSTEM WITH 2 DP NODES. Say CPU with remote node with address 8,9.

2.     Whenever there is problem in ACTIVE IM of highest profibus address node( I.E here when active IM with Node address 9 ) is powered off, then switch over will happen. But redundancy will fail.

3.     Say CPU A is master. I made Active IM (1^st IM card of node 9) switched off. Then restored the power.

 CPU B will be master.

Then

DB5.DBX    8.2    //master to standby changeover running--- is high on CPU A

DB5.DBX    8.6    // not all DP slave can b reached----- is high on CPU A

DB5.DBX    9.5     //Red Link Failed----- is high on CPU B.

So if I make CPU B in to stop mode, then total system will not run.

I would like to know Is the system is proved with more than 1 node at this condition without any additional programming ? Anyone tested this before it come across this kind of issue ?

I too agree there will be some workaround using status bit and command bit. But my interest is to check the solution without any additional coding..

Any suggestions are welcome..

It's been years since I have worked with SWR.

But as far as I know/remember, the SWR is mainly designed to tolerate a single failure not multiple ones.

Only S7-400H systems will do that.

What I just don't understand is why you lose redundant link. Losing more than node should not cause any failure to RED Link.

Are you sure you can have station B as master in normal operation? You can test it by triggering a switch over.

Please, double check initialization parameters of FC100 in OB100.

Thank you for your quick response.

There is no multiple failure, only 1 IM I am making off.

Normal operation is happening with switchover.

Both CPU A, CPU B will work as master in case of switch over. It's tested by switching CPU A to stop mode.

In case of node 8, functionality is OK. Switch over is happening and fault is not there.

Problem is always with last node(highest profibus address node ir- respective of the position it connected). 

Even CPU A / CPU  B is master, if making highest profibus address active IM off, result is same.

There is no diagnose buffer entry on both CPU. Station failure and return entry is there.

Do you have any test kit to make the same ?

 thank you for confirming more than 1 dp node is not an issue in the case of R-System.

PAA start and end programmed correctly, also DP node details..

Kindly find the attached program herewith. Please have a look..

Kindly note that, since there are issue in the system, we have configured DB13,DB14 for communication just to check if any improvement. But NO is the answer..

Preliminary check of your configuration :

You are using IM153-2 of Type : 6ES7153-2BA10-0XB0

Whereas Module released for SWR is : 6ES7153-2BA0x-0XB0 as from release 2

Which modules can you use when implementing software redundancy?

Since this is an old list and may not have been updated, it would be better to raise a "Support Request" to confirm if this module is released for SWR.

Will also go through your program to check if anything else is missing.

Pl check out the  the Manual  :

SIMATIC ET 200M Interface modules IM 153-4 PN and IM 153-2 HF

The Table on Page-11 indicates that it is suitable for Software Redundancy ( SWR )

However there are several other conditions . One of the conditions mentioned :

The IM 153-2BA10 or the IM 153-2BA70 only support the backplane bus module 6ES7195-7HD10-0XA0. Mixed mode operation of IM 153-2AA02 and IM 153-2BA10/70 is not permitted.

Hi navnag,

I don't know what to suspect , because lowest prifibus address node is always working. So currently am not suspecting hardware part. 

If am making node 8->9 and 9->8, then also node 8 is perfect for all the tests !!!

So my doubt on hardware is less. May be version of blocks, firmware of hardware etc may be issue..

Or even my parameterisation may be wrong..
