Reaction of active axis on E-stop Sinamics

DavidBrown Gold Member Joined: 6/29/2012 Last visit: 12/25/2023 Posts: 975 Rating: (9)	On my future Simotion D installation I want to use the integrated safety of Sinamics for E-stop purposes. But I don't want any additional alarm messages on the Simotion level because I go into stop by pushing the emergency button connected to the integrated safety (EP on motormodule and input on CU). I suppose when an axis on Simotion is active (positioning is active) and I the Sinamics integrated safety for SS1 or STO is activated I will get an alarm message on Simotion. I can look in Simotion for E-stop status and stop my axis, but this will in most cases be slower then the E-stop in Sinamics, thus causing an alarm message in Simotion? How can I avoid this problem? I was thinking about a time delay emergency stop relay for causing delay activation of the integrated safety, and a direct signal to Simotion to stop the active motion. If this would be one of the solutions, what may be then the delay on the emergency stop relay? Thanks.
