I'm trying to extract a text from a text list, using a script, and report it to my database. I read the Siemens help (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109811083), but it doesn't work for a variable, which is what I'm trying to do.

Here is my program :

C_INDEX_Step is employed to construct the Tags.
INDEX_Step is the the index of the text in the text list.

text list is the name of the text list.

Step is the text I am trying to extract.

I am using WinCC Unified on TIA V19 Upd 0.

I try to execute this script on a normal script in the HMI

I already try to Hardcoded the value of HMIRuntime.Language, but now it works. Maybe I made a change in the program that made it work.

I tested hardcoded with a constant and it worked. So I tested it with a tag and it also worked.

This is what it looks like for those who are interested.

text_list: name of the text list
