BraGil Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello members! I got a task to migrate a written code of Moeller PLC to PLC S7-1214 Siemes. The first lines of this code is a routine that transfers the physical inputs of the PLC (I) to address memory (M). However, this reading is made one batch of 8 bits, which in reality are treated as byte. Anyway, what I need: is it possible read the bits of the physical input (I) to form a byte? Instead of reading bit by bit, I want to read the byte corresponding to the first 8 bits. After reading batch, each bit is treated separately. What I'm trying to do is something like the operator "Bit Set Field". However, instead of setting up a range of output bits, I want to read a range of input bits. Thank you. BraGil Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	OK. Just PERFECT. Just a question: in the original code, to make the transfer of the "byte" to memory, we used the operator Normally Open Contact. When I tried this here with Siemens (TIA v12), the variable declared as "IB%" did not appear in the list. Imagining to be incompatible variable types, I changed the type of operator, using now the "MOVE", that worked correctly (to qualify it, the variable "% IB" was available). Just to make sure there is no other way to do the transfer BYTE. If be much more similar to the original code, I will be more aligned with the task I was last. I am very grateful for your help. You saved my night.
