Read Data Logs from S7-1500 directly to the PC

Hey,

I have data log created in S7-1500, now I have to make it stored automatically on the operator PC (PC and PLC are in the same network).

Manually downloading data log is simple - I log in to web server, download log. However, I need it to be made automatically.

I found very similar problem here:

Given answer was to write a VBA code downloading Data logs from web server. Still, I'm not sure how I could make it execute. As it was mentioned in topic above, copying direct link to download results in 'access denied' error on web page.

Other idea I have is to create custom web page with stored data logs, but problem is the same - how to make executable program downloading it on it's own?

Any clues / tips apprectiated. Thanks!

There is a program in windows called "Task Scheduler". You can run an app from there. Or use "Shell" in VBA to launch a program. You can create a .bat file that does the copying. If an update blocks you. You can elevate the Shell or program your running with a user name and password. Add a admin user to windows just for your program to run.

Yes, I'm old enough to have gone through these iterations...

seems to me as there are to possible mistakes:

1. typo error in URL or file name
2. missing referer

search for "wGet" and "DataLog",  "download", there are a couple threads around in the forum.
