read file names from a directory and list them out in a text list

Hello,

My end user wants to have access to file names when an import button is pressed. I don't want the end user to gain access to window explorer, but still want to give them the flexibility of choosing proper file name from a fixed-path foler.

I have tested a simple import function from a file and it works. the command i used is as follow.

uaArchiveImport(hArchive,"c:\\Test\\CoilAnalysis01.csv",0,0);//Return-Type: BOOL

What I want to do now is tolaunch a window or a text list box to let them choose the import file name from. the text box will contain all csv file type only in the Test folder. is it possible to do this when a button is pressed?

I found the article from the link you gave me. thanks.
but i encountered a problem when i compiled the c-script. it says that dirent.h and stdio.h are undefined. i have downloaded these two header files from the internet and put them in the libary folder both in the application directory and Wincc/aplib directory. now it starts to found undefined dir.h inside the dirent.h.any thought on this problem?

well, you could read the directory with "readdir"

With VB you could use

I use WinCC 7.0 and VB says that DIR is not defined

In WinCC V7.x we can use Files Collection 

example in Help
