Read-in disable

audy Posts: 71 Rating: (2)	Dear sir, I would like the PLC to stop machining during program excution then doing something then continue without operator intervention, so I used db21.dbx6.1 "read-in disable" but program is excuting normally without stopping even if db21.dbx6.1 is set.I have read that MD$20107 is related with read-in disable but I didn't see this parameter im my machine. Dear sir it will be kind of you to feed me with any usefull info. Hint: I have SINUMERIK 840 DPL , PCU 20 , simodrive 611D. Thanks so much for your time. audy.

denzilg_sa Bronze Member Joined: 7/5/2007 Last visit: 2/10/2025 Posts: 77 Rating: (5)	Hi andy The read in enable is suppressed in OB1 where the FC10 block is called this is normally the last network in OB1 and will over write any feed hold NC start or read in enable. Use a Read in enable bit from DB2, this is for alarms or messages, so make sure that you use a message read in enable bit, this number can know also be assigned to a message if needed Hope this will help Regards Denzil
