Thank so much. If your PLC can connect to a PC on the network, you could create a small application that replies to the plc with its ip address. Probably not the best solution, but if it is that important, this is an option.

mtclark49 Regular Member Joined: 10/10/2012 Last visit: 5/8/2023 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	If you use "SFC 51" as reference in Classic Step 7 Pro or in Tia Portal it is referred to as "Read System Info" and use SZL_ID "16#0037" and Index of "16#0000" and make sure you have the data record structure on the outbound then yes you can read out the port status, IP address, and MAC address in Byte(s) of the CPU as long as it is supported, I am using a CPU S7-319-3 PN/DP for reference, If you still need help please let know. It is still available in the s7-300/400 family, so SFC 51 (RDSYSST) should work for them.
