Hi Pabs, it is possible to use the on Board Ethernet Port for this. The only thing you need is to know the used TCP Ports for this communication. You have to configure the connection by following the procedure described in this FAQ: Wizard for creating connection data for open TCP/IP communication (Open Communication Wizard). If the partner sends data with different length of user data observe that you get correct data (offset) |

Hello Pabs No need to get so disheartened. We have recently implemented TCP/IP communication from S7-1200 to third part equipment using TCON, TSEND and TRECV Blocks of S7-1200. Though initially we were also a bit worried, it did not turn out to be as difficult as it appears to be. You Need to Call TCON - to Set Communication Parameters and Call TSEND and TRECV to Send and Receive Data Packets. I can help you with this if you can post the eaxt requirement that you have.
