in case of Profibus DP module this can be made with special gateway but functionality can be very decreased. Simply this module is specific to protocol and bus requirements and you want connect to other side different serial connection type. Very other quick idea if you really need this solution is attach some cheap PB Slave to this S7-400 and this Slave prepare for serial business (it can work serial communication completelly) and important data exchange via PB DP bus. All is upon required amount of exchanged data what you need.

no problem, simply clear solution is use serial CP 441 as Kaulquappe sugested, therefore I sugested that all depends to amount of data and of course MONEY. Solution can be complicated but can be done, experience in this problematic is really expected.
