I am using CP 341 RS232C for fetching data from Foundation field bus device. FG200.

I am using S7 300 PLC. In my program i have used block P_REC_RK FB7 for receiving the data. I have used this block directly in OB1. CP TX and RX Leds are blinking indcating that it is sending and receiving the data. If i remove Rs232 Cable immediately CP Shows SF Indication. 

But I am not able to receive data in the defined DB in P_REC_RK. I am not getting any error in block.

Status indication is showing 16#0000.

i am not clear wither program is correct. 

If it is correct why i am not getting reading. If it is not correct i would like to know the procedure for going in correct way.

I am using CPU 315_2PN/DP. with that i am using CP- 341 RS 232c 6es7-341-1ah02-0ae0

I am using s7 1200 cpu and CM 1241 Rs 232 for sending data to CP - 341

i am using 3964 R protocol for communication. 

I have selected Baud rate 9600, Parity Even, stop bit 1, data bit 8, prority low.

I have loaded this configuration in the S7 300 system. I loaded rs232 program to S7 1200 Cm Module

After that connected the RS 232 cable to device. without loading any program TX and Rx started bilking on cp341. with no fault indication. That was bit confusing.

Then In program i have used following blocks

OB1,  main program

FB7, P_REC_RK,

DB1, INSTANCE DATA BLOCK FOR FB7

DB10 A SHARED DB FOR RECEIVING THE DATA

SFB52, SFB53

I HAVE CALLED FB7 DIRECTLY IN OB1.

AFTER DOWNLOADING THE PROGRAM I AM NOT GETTING ANY ERRORS IN FB7 BLOCK.

BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO RECEIVE THE DATA IN db10.

WHEN I CHECKED THE DIAGNOSTICS OF THE CP CARD ONLINE.

ITS SHOWS ME ERROR.

ERROR IN CONNECTION BUILD UP Fxc8:0802.

I TRIED TO SORT IT OUT BUT I AM NOT GETING SOLUTION TO THAT.

I am using module cm 1241-1ah32-0aba0 for sending data. i went thought the data sheet.

In that data sheet i can see 2 options.

1.Integated Protocol driver. In that it not showing 3964(R) It is showing ASCII.

2.Integrated Protocol. In that it is showing 3964(R).

Meanwhile I will change my CP341 Configuration To ASCII. Then i will reply.

are you sure that the connected device supports the protocol 3964R?

After changing the protocol from 3964(R) To ASCII. The communication stated working. and i am now able to receive data.
