Reading DP Slave on 318 CPU

Heavy D Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am a little new to Siemens and I am trying to figure out how to read the inputs on an ABB WDIO100 over profibus. I have a 318 master with 3 317 slaves and a CP342-5with several I/O connected to it. I have connected the ABB WDIO100 with fieldbusplug PDP22-FBP (V1) to the profibus network connected to the CP342-5. The WDIO100 has an input range of 49 to 80. I need to monitor the inputs from the WDIO100 on the 318 cpu. do I use the DP_RECV to read the inputs and then just pump them into a DB? thanks in advance Daniel

Heavy D Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Dear Wizard, So I can use just the DP_RECV as I have no outputs to control. on the RECV line the BYTE should be set to 81 to get my inputs from the 49 to 80 range? Like this: CALL DP_RECV CPLADDR:=W#16#922 RECV:=P#DB260.DBX4.0 BYTE 81 NDR:=DB260.DBX2.0 ERROR:=DB260.DBX2.1 STATUS:=DB260.DBW0 DPSTATUS:=DB260.DBB3 thanks, Daniel

Heavy D Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Dear J_Bell, Sorry for the delay. I have been busy with other project the last 2 days and have not got back to working on this. The 922h came fromthe inputstart address on the CP342-5 of 2338. This machine I am working on has 2 CP342-5 modules. the second one has a start address of 2064 and there's also a CP343-1 with an Input start address of 2400. I am not the builder of the machine I am just integrating other equipment on it. Daniel

Heavy D Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Dear J_Bell, So far, I have not had any luck with this. An update on the configuration as I had made an error before. I am actually not connected to the CP342-5 as mentioned before. I am connected on the 318-2 X2 DP port and have not been able to configure it. On this port, there is 3 PCU-50, 2 840D's and then the last thing on the profibus is the ABB PDP22-FBP slave and the ABB WDIO100 wireless receiver. I have configured the WDIO100 to address 8. In the HW Config, I have the PDP22-FBP set to profibuss address 8. The PDP22-FBP is DP-V1 but also supports DP-V0 and it is set to DP-V0 in the HW config. When I download the the 318-2, I get the SF & BF lights flashing. The Module info for the 318-2 doesn't give me any pointers to the cause but the module info on the PDP-22 says DP slave not accessable my means of the bus. Thelights on the PDP22 indicate the following: - No connection to the bus master, e.g. PROFIBUS not operating. - The PDP21 / PDP22 has a slave address that is not configured in the bus master. - Parameter length and slave address are correct but I/O configuration of the slave does not meet the configuration sent by the bus master I have checked the connection and it is fine,the address is set the same.I'm a little stumped on this and still trying to get this part working. Heavy D Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	I also have the OB40, OB82 downloaded to the 318-2 as I read that you need them for the DP-V1 and tried setting the parameters on the PDP22-FBP to use DP-V1 but it did not make and difference so I put it back to DP-V0 Best Regards, Daniel
