Reading external sql data

Roger_007 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	This is an WinCC 6.2 project with Downtime monitor and Datamonitor. The issue is that the counter value needed for Downtime monitor (Total produced items and Good items) is in thisexternal Sarap SQL database. How can we reach this values to monitor them by downtime monitor? Is it possible toto get the sarap sql values, into tags in WinCC? Any other way of doing this?

Check the FAQ below for an example. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/16514261 You can also find come info in WinCC Information system under "Working with WinCC > VBS to create Procedures and Actions > Examples of VBScript > General examples".

Greetings Roger Well , you can use the WinCC helpfiles , type VBS* into search , all VBS examples are something like VBS + Nr ( VBS104 is an example of Asynchronous writing ,whatever that might be) Then there is the internet do a google on 'VBS script ' should bring some usefull stuff between the garbage.
