Omegis Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, i have WinCC 6.0 SP3a, i'm trying to recieve the real time alarms for a pageing system, the idea is to "connect"to WinCC server from remote client without installing anything on the server, we have tryied the ODK, but its not giving the info from the remote, i have installed Connectivity Pack, but i have problem to understand how to connect and recieve real time information,dont seeevent system here ... can you please reffer me to an example or explain foe me what is needed, also i need to recieve the full event text with the Tags Thanks in advance ! Thanks for the answer, Ihave a pageing software that works with 4 other sources to send msg's to a pagers, the WinCC is the only source i didnt implemented yet, The software need to read the alarm Event (as text with the tags) to send it in the pager, the tag, and the class of the alarm, my question is how can i connect to the WinCC Alarm system from a remote client ? im coding with C++,C#. and VB so any refference is good for me :) Thank You!

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, If you need to catch the data in a text format, you can just use a C or VB script to export the data. If you want further information, you can use one of the optional packages, such as Connectivity Pack or Industrial DataBridge. Best regards, Danielle

Please note that my application is onanother computer and i cannot install anythingor change setting in the WinCC server (i have only the credentials to access) Thanks in advance.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, Since you want to catch all the alarms, it wouldn't be wise to use a script, since you'd need waaaay too many triggers... The gmsgfunc function is triggered whenever an alarm occurs. It's a C script function. You could use it to do the exportation... But that would mean a change on the servers... From what I gather you want to poll alarm logging data on change, right? I can't think of a way to do this without some kind of change of the servers, even if it's just a small one...
