Hi all,

Im using a script to log values in sd card in tp700 hmi. This script saves real values in csv file in sd card/usb. 

Problem is whenever i log a real value like 10.45 it saves integer and decimal part in diffrent coloums like 10 in coloum 1 and 45 in coloum 2 in csv file.

I dont know wgat could be the reason but want to log value in single coloum.

So any one have any idea about it.

I guess the problem is not the script resp. logging but the settings of the tool (Excel) you are watching the csv-file.

In general the csv-file is a text file including separators. E.g. Excel uses the separators to show the content of the file in several columns. And Excel looks for the Windows setting you can find in "Control Panel > Region > Additional settings... > List separator". As this separator is usually a "," in English system I guess that the real values are logged e.g. as "10,45". You can easily check that by opening the csv-file with the notepad.

There are two solutions. Either you change the settings of the PC you are watching the file or you replace the separating character in your vbscript. E.g.:

v1 = Replace(FormatNumber(HmiRuntime.SmartTags("TC-1 HC-1 VALUE"), 1), ".", ","

- Which TIA Portal Version do you use? (Version, Servicepack, Update)

- Do you use WinCC Basic/Comfort/Advanced Runtime or WinCC Professional Runtime?

 Dear Prof.

You are right in tp700 due to windows ce characteristics i was facing this issue. Now what i had done is that instead of making a csv file i generate a txt file and when i read that txt file as csv in my local PC i get the format as required.

Just one thing in all this i had to open my txt file as csv on my local pc and also had to change settings of excel as you guided.

So, thanks for helping me out.

Althoigh thus solved the purpose but still if i can me a csv file directly from script that would have been more comfortable.
