Receiving emails in runtime

schreyer Posts: 65 Rating: (3)	Dear all, I had read through some of the posts regarding emailing using Wincc V6, however there is no specific explaination on the receiving end. So now i would like to ask whether is it possible for WinCC clients to receive emails from the servers through runtime? Any suggestions or ways to do it? Regards Schreyer

It was simple enough as the functions to both read and write were documented in the manual. However if you want to use something like Microsoft Exchange or a POP mail server then maybe something like this would be more helpful : http://www.activexperts.com/activemail/ Alternatively maybe you can use ADSI functions to program the interface yourself. I guess the key thing is what type of mail server are you using ? This determines what you can use to read it using a Google Search. I would then have a Global Action running every few minutes that checks the e-mails on a cyclic basis. Hope this helps Salma
