Andrei Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, I am suppose to start working on a new system, and I though it may be a good idea to ask for some ideas around here. This new system should be able to receive SMS over the GSM/GPRS network, and in function of those to control an aux device, that accepts only Modbus 485 connection. On the other hand, the GSM kit should be able to read data from this external device and to send it through SMS. Also, the GSM terminal should be setup with an internal web-page. So it needs and web server running on it. Until now I have found a terminal using the cinterion TC65 module and which has an RS234, and one RS485 as I need. But I am wondering, how can I do programming, dubugging and read data from my external device on only 2 port? Can someone give any suggestion of ANY I OTHER GSM MODULES that can do all of these? or any idea about my question concerning the RS ports? Thank you,

The only System I know of which is capable of doing nearly what you need is a S7-200. See this FAQ: How do you implement MODBUS communication with S7-200? and this Application: Micro Automation: Wireless Signalling and Switching per SMS (MAS 5) To get a Web based interface you may use a Ethernet CP IT (CP 243-1 IT) and you may program your interface yourself to the CP. Well, as you see there would be a lot to do... but you may make it. Best regards J_Bell

Andrei Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello J_Bell, Thank you, If I consider the web-server optional, and try to make the configuration in another way not by using a web page. What GSM terminal will you suggest, is TC65 good enough for all the other stuff I need to implement?
