Hi, booting from external while holding user button is possible as of firmware V1.2.1. In the mel-setup you can also add sudo rights to you user, that is probably required for the next steps. To change the boot order please copy the file fw_env.config in the attachement of this thread to /etc. In the thread you can also find instructions about the Indsutrial OS. Then you should be able to change boot order with sudo fw_setenv boot_targets xxx. Please write a DM with your email address, then I can send the Service Stick. Best regards! |
Not working for IOT2050 support anymore from March 1st, 2024. |

Apologies, forgot to metion I tried transfering that file with WinSCP, but I'd always get "Permission denied" error. Consequently I believe the only user we have is not superuser. I tried creating another user, but the "enable sudo" screen would never appear. Lets suppose: If I erased the eMMC OS (sudo mkfs.ext4 /dev/mmcblk1), would that automatically ignore the first boot option and switch to SD? |
