Redundant CP 341

saeed Posts: 115 Rating: (1)	Dear Friends, I have 2 questions about CP 341 conjunction with PCS7 V6.1,the first is can i use the FB's of CP341 included in the attached CD of CP 341 in PCS7 (CFC)? for the second question let me to give you the story,there is S7400-H and third party device with 2 RS485 interface and I want to use CP341(ASCII mode and RS485 mode) to communicate with 2 RS485 intefaces,so how can I have a Redundant CP341? where can i put CP's to communicate redundant with to RS-485 Interface?or what should i do for making redundancy available for my CP's? J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Saeed, As far as I understood you .... you plan on using 2 CP 341 in one Rack, communicating over RS 485 Physics with the ASCII Protocol. This has to be done in some kind of redundancy. Well... the thing will surely be that there is no redundancy developed for such a configuration. If you plan on using such a redundancy connection YOU will have to develop this redundancy, including all programming. If you still want to do it, good luck. Best regards J_Bell

The bad thing is that you will get no support because this is not a official Solution... so the risk is on your side. You may surely try it and the physical connection should work, but if the logical connection will work... this is the open question. Best regards J_Bell
