redundant profibus network

Fiec. Exp. Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I want to configure a redundant PROFIBUS network with a cental rack and Remote I/Os including ET200M and ET200pro. Now I want to know if it is possible to have a redundant PROFIBUS network with a single CPU (CPU 412-2) and two CP 443-5 Extended. If the answer is yes, how should I configure it? And also is it possible to connect a Y-link to two CP 443-5 or two IM153-2 and sigle output of it to an IM 154-1 (ET200pro)?

Exp. that would be a "it's not possible" answer from my side (or at least it isnot an offically supported configuration a far as I'm aware). Going by your question, it seems that all that you are interested in is to achieveredundancy of theProfibus network. If so, you coulddo so by using OLM (OpticalLink Modules) and create a Fibre OpticRing with them which will give you redundancy (more about this can be found in THIS OLM manual). I hope this helps
