Redundant Ring SCALANCE X204-2

Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody, I need to make a Profinet Redundant Ring Using a S7300 CPU and Switches SCALANCE X204-2, the ring is going to be through Fiber Optic, and in the RJ45 ports I want to connect slaves S7200SP, something like the attached image. So my question is: is there any limit in the number of SCALANCE X204-2 that I am going to install.?? The question is because I have to install about 20 Remote modules (ET200SP) and the distance between them is about 30 mts each. that is why I want to install a X202-4 with FO on each Slave cabinet. Can you please give me an advice about the limit in the number of the SCALANCE that I want to use in case that exist?? and also can you please tell me if I need another type of SCALANCE for this configuration (Redundant Ring) ??? or the X204-2 is good for this application.?? Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi, very simple answer ! Up to 58 SCALANCE Switches can be used for a redundant Ring configuration. The SCALANCE X204-2 is the right switch to implement this configuration.
