Ref Point and propagation factor (pf) for LR200

I have a problem related to the installation and install the sensor LR200 Model: 7ML5422-2AJ30 Please see my attached file and give me advice on installation. by micro-ribbed tank bearing bar so I used the waveguide. I use high flange 25mm. Let me know of the sensor reference point? Or show me howcoefficient propagation factor (pf)? Please, help me! Attachment Diagram.ZIP (138 Downloads)

danw Gold Expert Joined: 3/28/2010 Last visit: 12/9/2024 Posts: 1097 Rating: (215)	1) sensor reference point top of the threads, bottom of the hex nut, illustrated on page 12 of the HART manual 2) propagation factor see manual section 2.8.3 It is defined as, "Compensates for the change in microwave velocity due to propagation within a metal stillpipe instead of in free space." The values range from 0.3 to 1.5, but those values are not associated with anything in the accompanying table, which has antenna size from 500mm to 200mm and a related propagation factor from 0.7953 to 0.9884, but no method of correlating a value to an antenna/pipe size or propagation factor! Another guessing game! If you ever find out how the values relate to the table, please let us know. If you have PDM and a HART modem, there is a Wizard that configures for a stilling well application and sets the propagation factor. Configuring a stillpipe application (page 37, manual) • Launch the Quick Start wizard and follow steps 1 to 2. • In step 2, select Application Type – Level in a vessel with stillpipe, Material – Liquid Low dK, and set the stillpipe diameter as desired. • The wizard updates the propagation factor according to the pipe diameter, and enables the CLEF algorithm for low dK liquids (see Position Detect (2.8.4.2.) on page 125 for more detail).
